Woke up to a delivery of my QuickStart package from Herbalife, which was surprisingly faster than I expected, but perfect to start my journey early and go into the weekend with (hopefully) some extra energy! It had a container of French Vanilla Formula One, which is great because I've already consumed half my container of Cookies and Cream. I'm excited to play around with some of the recipes I received, too. It also has a multi-vitamin, which is awesome because I literally just ran out of mine. There's a month's worth of a supplement called Cell Activator, which is supposed to promote nutrient absorption and digestion. Finally, there's a bottle of raspberry herbal tea concentrate, which is super convenient for me to take to work and make if I need a pick-me-up, instead of falling back to my old standby Starbucks.
I took my before photos, but those won't be gracing the interwebs for a month or so- sorry, guys. I can't wait to watch my body change. Tomorrow (or tonight, but probably not because I have to pick a friend up from the airport), I start the Couch to Half Marathon running plan! It ends up working out absolutely perfectly, because I haven't been running as much the past few months as I'd prefer, and the race is in exactly 24 weeks! I know that I can maintain the discipline I need to be successful.
Do you have any long-term, or even short-term fitness goals?

Post-wedding blues, and how I plan on kicking their butt!
I wouldn't exactly consider myself a vision of health. For my height, I'm considered overweight, but I'm working on changing that. Leading up to my wedding a little less than a month ago, I busted my rump to fit into that dress. I worked out at least 5x/week, ate impeccably, drank enough water... you get the picture. AFTER the wedding, that hasn't exactly remained the story. I've paid less attention to what I put in my body, and have only seen the inside of a gym twice. I am not seeing any physical repercussions...yet. I am feeling lethargic and less energetic, though, as well as there being a noticeable decrease in the healthy glow I'd prided myself on. I'm ready to get back on that fitness horse, and my goal is to run another half marathon, probably the St. Pete Women's Half on November 24th, and in 45 minutes or more LESS than when I ran it two years ago.
To help me achieve that, I have turned to an amazing product you may have heard of called Herbalife. Normally, I'm not a fan of what could be considered meal replacing, or fad diets, or the like, but so far I am super impressed. The products available are pretty amazing. I know that with a sense of re-dedication, as well as a little help from Herbalife, I can and will achieve my fitness goals. It's super convenient, and when you consider the fact that you're replacing a meal, it's super affordable, too.
A couple other personal goals are to become a Certified Weight Loss Specialist and a Certified Personal Trainer. From there, I plan on finishing my bachelor's degree, likely in Dietetics. I'm over 3/4 of the way there. I want to help others achieve their best selves, and I think these are three main steps to doing that.
I plan on documenting my path through here, as well as offering hints and tips to my success. Hopefully if something I'm trying is something you have been on the fence about, I can clear it up for you and help you find success, too.
It's going to be a fun rest of the year!
